The Team Approach - How Does it Work?

  • Throughout the sessions clients are invited to participate in a range of activities with the horses. All activities are observed and facilitated by the counsellor and horse consultant.

  • EAL is interactive and experiential. Throughout the process the team offers careful debriefing and discussion which can promote clients’ self awareness. This can lead to new perspectives on themselves and others.

  • Using movement and metaphor the client can experience and reflect on how they react to specific situations.
  • The horses offer challenges which may help clients overcome their fears, build up trust and respect and develop better communication skills and improve self-confidence.
